Little Dance is an original organ work composed by Carey Tan in August 2023 at the age of ten, shortly after he began studying the instrument.

Written in a clear A–B–C–B–A structure, the piece explores both the expressive and technical possibilities of the organ, combining manual and pedal melodies with varied registrations, including a bright trumpet setting. Notably set primarily in 5/4 time, with contrasting 4/4 sections, the work balances rhythmic vitality with a serene central passage. Concluding with grand, resonant chords, Little Dance reflects Carey’s early fascination with the organ’s grandeur, colour, and architectural sound world.
